The Dessert That Changed My Mind and My Perimenopause

I’ve never really been a yoghurt person.

For most of my life, I skipped it without a second thought never craved it, never missed it. But when I began going through perimenopause, something shifted. My body started sending me different signals. My energy dipped, my moods became more sensitive, my skin needed more care, and I found myself craving comfort real, nourishing comfort.

I didn’t want to just get by. I wanted to feel supported.


That meant rethinking how I approached food. I began experimenting with ingredients I’d previously overlooked this time not just for taste, but for how they made me feel, how they supported my hormones, digestion, and skin.

That’s when I began creating what I now call my ‘Beautiful Benefits Desserts’ five nourishing, simple desserts that actually support the body through perimenopause.

And one of them? The one I make the most? The one I now recommend to almost every client?It’s this one what I call my Perimenopause Support Bowl.


Here’s what’s in it:

  • Natural, full-fat Greek yoghurt

  • A small handful of fresh blackberries (or blueberries)

  • A sprinkle of mixed seeds like flax, pumpkin, chia, or sunflower

It’s creamy, tangy, crunchy, satisfying and most importantly, it’s deeply nourishing.


Why it works for perimenopause:
